Once again we got good use out of our bus pass and headed downtown for another installment of Michael's Passport to Fun. This activity was on Australia. From there we were headed home and ended up detouring to meet my mom at yet another place of employment where we ended up having lunch at the Billy Goat Tavern. Besides who doesn't like a good cheezborger and a coke? Afterwards we went our separate ways and Meghan and I explored a bit of Michigan avenue just North of bridge over the Chicago River. The different pieces of stone set into the Tribune Tower were particularly interesting to us and we circled the building, stopping a couple of times at the WGN broadcast window. It was a beautiful day in the upper 70s and we both agreed that our summer of fun should include a ride on a boat down the river and maybe even a double-decker bus ride but one or both of those will have to wait for another beautiful day. It's interesting to be a tourist in your own hometown and realize just how cool it is.
