Day Twenty Five

Everything went smoothly I had packed most of our gear and even most of the car the night before and we were on the road heading northward by 8:15am.  All went smoothly that is until we got to Portage, Indiana and I realized that the one thing I didn't have with us was my wallet, which meant no money, no ID, no credit cards.  So we turned around, crossed our fingers that the gas would get us back to Chicago and headed back.  So two hours after we left Chicago the first time we left Chicago a second time.  We still made good time with a stop in Portage to shop for a Sierra cup at Bass Pro, and another stop in Bentor Harbor, Michigan to do the French Passport to Fun activity at a Michael's there.   We arrived at camp before dinner which was our main goal although there was not nearly as much time to spare as we had originally hoped for.   But we still had plenty of time to settle in and get organized for time at one of my favorite places on earth.
