My Last Full Day at Owasippe

Today was my last full day at Owasippe. We went to the chapel for church. After that we went back to the campsite and had brunch which was Mexican Lasagna and I didn't have any. Instead I had bread with butter on it. Then we were getting ready to wash plates and silverware when the water went out. Not long after that we went to Camp Carlen to go swimming in Lake Wolverine. I had lots of fun going swimming and playing in the water with Dakota. By the time we got back from Carlen the water was on again. Soon it was time for dinner. We had chicken and corn. After dinner we went to my Grandpa's cabin and showered to get the lakey smell off of us and also to be clean for the opening campfire. Then we went back to the site to put our stuff away and then we went down to the lodge. At the lodge I met my mom's friend, Rob and his 7 year old son, Quinn. Rob works for the Tampa Bay Lightning which is my favorite hockey team. The leader meeting ended and I saw my grandpa outside. I ran out and the others followed. While we were outside Father Phil came over and took me to the trading post. Then Rob gave Quinn money and I took Quinn to the trading post. Then somebody shot the cannon and we walked down to the firebowl and had the campfire. I really liked the campfire. At the campfire they told the legend of Chief Owasippe. My grandpa did a really good poem, called The Ballad of Blasphemous Bill. Besides that it was mostly songs, my favorite thing at the campfire was the skit when some of the people were doing drama that was really silly. I stayed up for a little bit when we got back to the campsite, then I went to the tent to get ready for bed and I fell asleep. After that there was a really big storm and I woke up again. That night I did not get a good nights sleep. That's how I had fun today.
