When I returned to pick her up she was just finishing her absolutely awesome pillowcase. I can now safely say she has more sewing skills than I do. Although I've got her way outnumbered in sewing patches on boy scout uniforms. It was a three hour class and by this time it was well into the afternoon and her highness was starving, so we made a brief stop at subway. Apparently sewing makes you very hungry because she inhaled the sandwich. We then reversed our trek heading downtown, with a stop at the library to return a book and do her weekly check-in for the summer reading program. This was quite exciting because she has completed her tenth book and received her t-shirt. By then the end of the day had arrived we made a brief stop at my mom's and headed home. We're slowly getting ready for our trip, which is probably a good thing since we leave thursday morning. The heat was oppresive once the initial coolness of this mornings' storm left, but supposedly we're due to have cooler temps in the coming days.
